Johannes Kreidler Composer

untitled performance #1

Solo performance for keyboard player, computer and speakers (2006)

In this performance, more than 9000 samples (without any repetition) are played. Their order is more or less predetermined. Their rhythm results from the text which is being typed. The pedal is classical sustain-pedal. In addition to the monophonic sequence, sometimes longer soundfiles emerge as a background.

The relationship between text / musicalization of text and the actual music itself, the meanings of each of the thousands of soundfiles and the whole remains unexplained. The player has to follow some instructions, but aoart from that he is free, it just has to be fast und radical, his attitude is occasionally autistic and weird.
