In Johannes Kreidler's work "Steady Shot" for piano, electronics and video, the camera as a quasi time-less, time-freezing medium is confronted with the flux of the sonic. The steady shot is a minimal duration and in its result, the photo, a forever preserved moment; this is musically projected on live piano actions and taped piano samples. Also, the iconography of the musician plays a role in this setup, application photographs of pianists and control shots of finger positioning. The composer as a master mind on all these media, including notation and video finally ends up as an object of these processes, too.
